Cultivating Change: Preschool Climate Change and Sustainability Program

Held on June 8-9, 2024, in Chandrapur-06, Rautahat, this two-day program introduced 30 preschool children and 20 guardians to climate change and environmental sustainability. The sessions included interactive workshops, creative drawing activities, and hands-on experiences such as seedling planting and community cleanups. Led by Aayushma Kafle, with support from EU consortium partners, the initiative fostered intergenerational learning and encouraged families to adopt eco-friendly practices.
Clean-up Barahathawa

Held on June 13–14, 2024, in Barahathawa Municipality, Sarlahi, this two-part initiative engaged 60+ youths and community members in environmental action. The first day featured an orientation session on the “Tag Me” campaign and waste management for 20 young participants, highlighting behavioral changes to reduce landfill waste. On the second day, a river clean-up campaign at the Soti River mobilized 40 people, including youth clubs, police, and municipal representatives. Led by YSB member Ankit Chaudhary in collaboration with Work Plan Nepal, the event collected over 50 kg of waste and distributed essential gear such as gum boots, gloves, and masks, promoting climate action and community awareness.
Interactive Program with Local Representatives on Climate and Environment

Held on June 3, 2024, in Dhangadhi, Kailali District, this initiative spotlighted the challenges faced by people with disabilities in the context of climate change and environmental degradation. Through interactive dialogues, the program sensitized local government representatives and encouraged inclusive policy discussions. Attended by youth activists, CSOs, and local officials, the session fostered youth leadership, promoted community-driven solutions, and emphasized the importance of inclusive climate resilience and sustainable development. The event was jointly organized by YSB members Bam Bahadur BK, Mamata BK, and Man Singh Bist.
