This initiative, implemented in Ward No. 6 of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality in Doti District, Sudurpashchim Province, focused on sanitation of water sources and ensuring menstrual hygiene for women and girls. The project cleaned two water sources at Thapla village and Silgaun, where water contamination was a major issue. Led by local Child Club members, the initiative aimed to improve sanitation and menstrual hygiene, ensuring access to clean water for reusable sanitary products and promoting overall community health.

Strengthening Eco-friendly Menstruation

Conducted in three schools in Kathmandu (Baluwatar, Thankot, Maharajgunj), this project raised awareness about reusable menstrual products and their environmental benefits. Sessions were held in secondary schools and a nursing campus, educating 114 students on eco-friendly menstrual options, including menstrual cups. Pre- and post-surveys revealed a shift in student attitudes, increasing their willingness to adopt sustainable menstrual practices.

Zero Waste at School

Implemented in Siraha on October 2, 2023, in collaboration with the Dalit Development Forum (DDF), this project engaged 25 Child Club members at Shree Janta Model Secondary School. It introduced waste segregation, composting, and the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) to foster a culture of responsible waste management among students.

Implemented in Banepa Municipality, this initiative empowered 28 students from a Geomatics Engineering diploma programme to creatively repurpose waste into useful items. Through educational sessions and hands-on crafting workshops, participants learned about recycling and waste reduction, reinforcing the importance of a circular economy and sustainable waste management.

Youth for Climate Action Workshop

Held on August 28, 2023, in Guheshwori, Kathmandu, this workshop engaged 15 students from three schools. The sessions covered climate change, problem-solving through design thinking, and teamwork strategies. The event concluded with a Climate Action Pledge, encouraging participants to take steps toward environmental sustainability.

Zero Waste at School

Conducted on September 12-13, 2023, in Dailekh, this two-day workshop educated 30 eco-club students on the principles of zero waste, waste segregation, composting, and sustainable waste management. Interactive sessions and hands-on learning experiences helped participants develop actionable plans to implement sustainable practices in their schools.
